Dean IS in Zimbabwe!

Dean Buckner, volunteer coach and FVRM board member is currently in Zimbabwe for a month for work (and some fun!). At his past non-profit employer, he helped get equipment from Minnesota to Victoria Falls Boxing Academy, which is also an orphanage for 10 children. They use proceeds from the gym to help cover school and food costs for the orphans. In the one picture, Dean is repping his Fully Vested gear while pointing to Victoria Falls in the distance. In the other picture, Dean is holding up 3 fingers as he just completed 25.3 at the Victoria Falls Boxing Academy. In final picture, you can see the gym/equipment. Not only does the Victoria Falls Boxing Academy help orphans, it also has a tiered pricing system based on income and for those people in active recovery for drugs/alcohol, it is free (or greatly reduced). Drugs and alcohol are a huge problem in Zimbabwe with an unemployment rate of over 11%. Dean is volunteer coaching at the gym while he is there, helping them better understand functional fitness and creating workouts. Here is to Fully Vested Recovery Movement helping those in the Twin Cities but also those in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
